About
Founded in 1983 as a temporary response to a hunger crisis, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank continues to serve thousands in our community today. We operate without recurring government funding, relying entirely on the generosity of individuals, industry partners, and grants to support our mission. Every month, we provide nutritious food to approximately 15,000 individuals and families, as well as 150 Community Agency Partners across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore. Our goal is simple yet vital: to ensure those in need have access to healthy food.
